You might have noticed it’s been a quiet November here. That’s because, once again, I decided to take part in NaNoWriMo, where you challenge yourself to draft an entire novel of at least 50,000 words during November.
This is the fifth time I’ve successfully completed a manuscript during NaNoWriMo. I’m happy with what I produced, though I know it’s going to need an absolutely massive amount of editing.

That’s somewhat different to last year’s attempt, which was pretty close to a finished product. That said, I still haven’t actually done that edit – I’m blocking out some time in January for precisely that.
And no, detail freaks, I didn’t give the challenge the codename The 5am Project because I was writing it first thing in the morning. I’m an early riser and an early worker, so I powered through my 1,700 words a day between finishing my day job and eating my dinner.
