So a month ago, I embarked on the 2023 NaNoWriMo challenge, where you have to try and complete a draft novel manuscript of at least 50,000 words during November.
So woo-hoo! 28 days later and it’s done. That marks the fourth time I’ve completed NaNoWriMo. But it’s the first time since 2015, so I’m feeling quite pleased with myself.
Obviously, the whole thing needs a proper edit, which I’ll get to at some point in the next month or two, after a few days to not think about it.
But unlike some of my previous attempts, I don’t think it needs a massive revamp. Post-edit, I won’t really have an excuse not to actually pull my finger out and get it up on Kindle. Well, other than the challenge of doing a decent cover. But I’ll deal with that when I get there.
