Emirates says demand for vegan food on its flights has skyrocketed, with 450,000 vegan meals served last year. So it’s expanding its range to encompass more than 300 vegan recipes served across the year and across cabin classes.
Here’s a selection of some of the new offerings:

- A raspberry tonka mousse, served in Business
- A beetroot tartare, served in lounges
- A vegan burger, served in lounges (this one’s definitely my pick)
- A chocolate pecan cake, served in First
- A pineapple cake, served in Business
- A grilled kebab, served in Business
- A pistachio raspberry mousse, served in First
- A polenta cake, served in First
Evidently, the new Economy option of a tofu tikka masala is not worth photographing.
Tempting, though I’m not currently plotting any Emirates flights, so I might not get to check out its enhanced amenities kits either.
