Review: Pac-Man Oreos – chews carefully

OK, this isn’t really a full-on taste test – it’s a complaint about packaging.

Here’s what the current special edition Pac-Man Oreos on sale in Australia shows on the packaging:

However, when you open the packet, the actual cookies do not have a Pac-mouth cut out of them. I call shenanigans. Instead, they’re just stamped with one of three images: Pac-Man, an unspecified ghost, or the Pac-Man logo.

That detail aside, this is a bog-standard Oreo. This means it tastes good, and you’ll be seeing it on special regularly at your local supermarket. But it doesn’t actually look anything like Pac-Man.

And no, I didn’t try slicing out a mouth myself. I was on a regional train at the time, and wielding a knife would not have been a good look. Plus, I imagine the Oreo would probably just crumble when sliced. They tend to do that.
